MAGIC ENGINE EXPANDS PUMPKIN PATCH: MOONBREAKER RELEASE WITH GLOBAL STREAMING PREMIERE, OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE, AND COLLECTOR'S VINYL RECORD

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
October 20, 2026
Independent generative entertainment studio rolls out its latest feature across streaming, music, merchandise, and physical media, embracing a comprehensive release strategy modeled on major Hollywood studios.
LOS ANGELES, CA, October 20, 2026—Magic Engine is expanding the world of its latest feature film, PUMPKIN PATCH: MOONBREAKER, with an ambitious, coordinated release spanning global streaming distribution, an original soundtrack, official merchandise, and a collectible vinyl record through Magic Engine Records.
The 99-minute horror-fantasy adventure, written and directed by filmmaker Brian James Gage, celebrated its world premiere Saturday, October 17, as part of AIMV's Saturday Night at the Movies, marking another milestone for the rapidly developing independent entertainment studio.
The film premiered during a special double bill featuring the original PUMPKIN PATCH (2025), allowing audiences to experience both installments of the darkly comedic supernatural saga back-to-back.
Hosted by AIMV, the premiere streamed globally live on X, with replays continuing throughout the weekend. The event was also simulcast on the Alchemy Streaming Network through Apple TV and Roku.
Following its Saturday debut, PUMPKIN PATCH: MOONBREAKER premiered on YouTube Sunday, October 18, extending the film's availability to audiences worldwide.

BEYOND THE SCREEN: MUSIC, MERCHANDISE, AND PHYSICAL MEDIA
Coinciding with the film's release, Magic Engine Records has already released the PUMPKIN PATCH: MOONBREAKER original motion picture soundtrack across major digital music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, allowing audiences to experience the film's music independently of the feature itself.
The studio is also introducing a new collection of official merchandise, including The Reaper T-shirt and collectible mug, featuring imagery inspired by the film's distinctive supernatural world.
Perhaps the most unusual addition is the release of Merv Rickels' Hell Ain't Open 'Till Midnight, a genuine, physical 7-inch collectible vinyl single featuring music from the movie.
Rickels, a fan-favorite fictional skeleton honky-tonk singer appearing in the original Pumpkin Patch and coming back in MOONBREAKER, makes the unlikely leap from screen character to recording artist with a real-world release through Magic Engine Records.

The collectible single features "Hell Ain't Open 'Till Midnight" from Moonbreaker on the A-side and "Pumpkinhead Blues" from Pumpkin Patch on the B-side.
Far from a novelty mock-up, the record is an actual playable vinyl release, transforming a fictional performer's music into a tangible piece of the film's expanding universe.
Together, the film, soundtrack, merchandise, and vinyl record represent Magic Engine's broader approach to entertainment development: creating original properties that audiences can experience, collect, and enjoy across multiple formats.
THE WHOLE RELEASE STRATEGY
For Magic Engine CEO and Co-Founder Debbi Berlin, the coordinated rollout reflects what she describes as the studio's “whole release” strategy, treating each new production as a complete entertainment property rather than a standalone movie.
“Wherever there's someone looking to be entertained, my goal is to make sure Magic Engine has something for them to discover, whether that's a movie, a song, a collectible record, or something they can wear,” said Berlin. “We approach every release with the same ambition and attention to detail as a major Hollywood studio. No promotional stone gets left unturned. We may be independent, but we think large scale. We're building an entertainment ecosystem where every film creates new opportunities to reach an audience across the full stack of promotional possibilities.”
The approach brings film production, digital music distribution, physical media, consumer merchandise, and streaming partnerships together under one coordinated release strategy.
Rather than relying exclusively on a film's performance on a single platform, Magic Engine is developing multiple avenues for audience discovery, engagement, and revenue, extending the commercial life of its original entertainment properties.
A SMALL STUDIO WITH AN EXPANDING REACH
Written, directed, and produced by Gage through K13 Cinematics, PUMPKIN PATCH: MOONBREAKER continues the supernatural misadventures of its pumpkin-headed antihero, expanding the mythology, characters, and bizarre underworld introduced in the original film and crossing over into other films in Magic Engine's The League of Mythical and Other-worldly franchise universe (The LMAO!).
The feature marks Gage's sixth completed feature-length production in approximately 15 months, an ambitious output made possible through Magic Engine's generative production pipeline combining traditional filmmaking disciplines with emerging creative technologies.
The studio's approach emphasizes original storytelling, distinctive characters, and an expanding catalog of entertainment properties rather than conventional short-form generative content.
While Magic Engine operates with a lean independent structure, its growing activities span feature film production, music publishing and distribution, merchandise development, physical media, and international streaming relationships.
EXPANDING DISTRIBUTION AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES
Beyond its AIMV premiere, Alchemy Streaming Network simulcast, and YouTube release, Magic Engine is actively pursuing additional licensing opportunities with FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) platforms, in addition to upcoming releases on Spotify Podcats.
These developing relationships form part of a larger strategy to establish a sustainable distribution network for original feature films while creating additional commercial opportunities through merchandise, music, and physical media.
By combining an efficient production model with a multifaceted release strategy, Magic Engine is working to establish a new kind of independent entertainment studio, one capable of developing, producing, distributing, and commercializing its own original properties across multiple markets and keeping all of the activity in-house.
With PUMPKIN PATCH: MOONBREAKER, the company continues building that foundation, demonstrating that a small, agile studio can pursue the same comprehensive entertainment strategy traditionally associated with much larger operations.
